Gunnar Esiason Scholarship Fund - $10,000

With Gunnar Esiason and his sister, Sydney, both attending Boston College, the Boomer Esiason Foundation in January 2012 established a new scholarship to support the studies of a BC student. The $10,000 scholarship is awarded annually.

CRITERIA

To be eligible for the Gunnar Esiason Scholarship, a student must have cystic fibrosis or have an immediate family member with CF. He or she also must already be admitted or enrolled at Boston College and qualify for financial aid by demonstrating financial need, as determined by the University’s Office of Financial Aid. Applicants are required to provide all of the following documents in order to be considered:

• Application

• Essay

• Recent photo

• Letter from physician (on letterhead) confirming CF diagnosis and therapy routine (for the student or the student's family member with CF)

• Transcript (high school, college and/or graduate school)

• Letter of acceptance from academic institution

• Detailed breakdown of tuition costs from academic institution

• W2 form for both parents
